Still waiting for an update!
THE NEW TAURUS SPECTRUM - "I WANT SO BAD TO LOVE THIS PISTOL BUT THE LIGHT PRIMER STRIKES ARE HOLDING ME BACK."
My final Spectrum update. The gun has been sold. I still had the occasional Failure to Feed, and once in awhile, the occasional light primer strikes. I could never trust it, so off it, and its Taurus brothers went (I still have my Rossi R98 Plinker, though). My PT638 was reliable, but for whatever reason, I just could not shoot that gun accurately without REALLY focusing. My PT111 G2s were GREAT! But in the end, I found a much smaller and lighter gun with the PT111's same 13 round capacity that is also taking the place of the Spectrum and my KelTec P32. My new Sig P365 has been stellar so far, and is easy to be very accurate with.
That said, if Taurus figures out the issues with the Spectrum in the future (and maybe releases a G2 model?), I may take another look.
