    What to do, Judge question

Saw someone today shooting a 2.5" judge and tried to shoot a 3" shotshell. It worked once and now its locked up.

It seems the crimp end of the shell is in the barrel and stopping the cylinder from rotating or opening.

Could it be possible to use a wooden dowel with the end cut at a 45 deg angle to go down the barrel and fold the end of the hull over itself to repair this?

He bought it at a local shop that he said he will take it to.

    Any thoughts on the matter?

Certainly seems possible although a second dowel with a squared off end may also be needed to fold it further back for clearance.

MY neighbor did the same thing with his.
So much for a revolver not jamming --huh??
I just took a razor knife and cut off the hull at the front of the cylinder, opened the cylinder, got the end of the hull out of the barrel, slapped him upside his head and told him not to do that again.--
