Just a quick follow-up. I had contacted Taurus again last week on 01/14/20 and just today, out of the blue, FedEx showed up and dropped off a new barrel.
I'll put it through its paces when I get...
But alas, Don, you were correct. So Taurus had told me back in October that I'd get this barrel soon. I wrote them back in mid November asking for an update and they had nothing for me. Same...
Been out a year in Brazil. Looks like a 9mm TX-22.
Wonder if they have plans to release it here in the US.
Don't know why the picture is showing up twice.
What do you carry yours in?
I myself am looking for an OWB paddle holster.
You need to name names, son. Name names! :)
"Hand lapping". I thought that referred to something else. :D
Very interesting. Your experience seems to be similar to mine.
I went and bought a 500 round box of LRN Thunderbolts. I won't clean the gun and maybe this weekend I'll take her out and shoot...
So I went back today during lunch and put about 600 rounds of through my TX22. About 250 copper clad, and 350 lead round nose. I inspected the barrel after shooting each type of ammo. With the...
This may explain the back-order situation.
I understand what you are saying. I've dealt with Taurus customer service with my TCP 738 and they fixed it and got it back to me in the time-frame promised and it works fine.
Once I did call...
First time installing an after market sight. Fit seems okay, but there is a small gap. The little oval at the bottom of the sight does not fit flush inside the oval cut into the slide.
So I bought a TX22 back in July and finally got around to shooting it this past week. Put about 500 rounds of various ammo and it cycled fine, except for Aguila subsonic ammo, which would not cycle...
And this time it's with a legit company that doesn't require you to join any stupid "buyer's club" to get that price:
I've already got one. :D
You may have to join their stupid club for a few days before you cancel, but not a bad deal:
This is a good natural progression of that successful line. I hope they cleaned up that trigger. That was pretty much the only negative on the entire PT and G series of guns.
Holy crap, what are you? - a 80's secret agent always on the lookout for a rogue Mossad assassination squad to show up at your door?
If it is a carry gun and not something you buy to put in your safe, then my philosophy is to buy guns that look like real guns - so blued or stainless.
If you have to pull a gun in self defense,...
My local Academy Sports had them for $22 each for the 16 rounders. I grabbed two today.
My local Academy had them in stock, 16-round version, $22.
Just saw these babies today: https://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/220569
And the pricing is not too bad.
They are in stock at Taurus:
Especially since they are back to doing lifetime warranties for the original owner, that's what I intend to do as well.
