Eh, you're not really being "that guy" . I mentioned that as a possibility a few times in my posts. I'm keeping an eye on it, but so far, so good.
I look at it this way: if it shortens the Rough...
I agree! :D
Price drop and bump.
Supposedly they offer an adjustable sight version that has a mount option but I've never seen one in the wild.
Spent some time at the range last night. These were from a sandbag at 10 yards:

...omg.
You're right, it has a forward cant. I'm not too concerned about hitting anything past 10 yards or so, but I'll probably try a few distances, see how much POI changes, and then decide if it's worth...
I've managed to build up an okay little shop. However, all I used here was a cross vice with jaw covers, a hacksaw, a punch, a hand drill, and a hand tap. Definitely the sort of thing most people can...
I... I like this.
My eyes are still pretty good (ears are a different story), this was more a function of having the gun, optic and rail sitting around without a use for any if them. And here we...
That's what my Smiths are for ;) .
Thanks folks! A few people have done similar things so I only get partial credit.
And yeah, I blasted straight through to top strap. I'm not too concerned with .22's cracking the frame.
I picked up a Heritage Rough Rider a while ago for about $60 (Memorial Day sale + gift card for winning a bowling pin match). It's fun, and decently accurate, but boy are those sights terrible....

If you're anything like me, you've tried at least a half-dozen holsters for your EDC. I did for TCP before settling on one that fits my M85 Poly Protector... and then carrying that. I'm a...
These folks nailed it. The Tracker is the "compact" frame that's shared with the Judge, and Taurus calls the Raging guns a "large" frame but I believe it's a different one than the standard large...
Hey all!
I picked up a Plinker 6" a while back and I gotta say, it's a great gun for the money. I was thinking that it would be fun to put an optic on it for extra plink-ability. It doesn't look...
Yup, it fits. Takes a little getting used to but works pretty well. The holster mostly grips the cylinder so the body and barrel can pivot a little but I have no worries about retention.

Alas, thumbs are too short. This does mean that you can fit any S&W release on with a little work, so I may look into a few other variants.

Howdy all,
I took a chance and ordered a Hogue extended cylinder release for a S&W to see if it will fit on my Tracker 627.
The bad news: it doesn't fit.
The good news: I believe it would...
Hey there folks,
Has anyone tried a Safariland 002 Cup Challenge holster with their 6" Tracker 627? The Tracker isn't listed one way or the other on their fitment charts.
...
Ahahahahaha.
Guessing I'm missing something?
I didn't even know that was a thing! Pretty cool.
Well hello, Taurens!
I've now picked up my third Taurus - a 627 Tracker in .357 with a 6" barrel. I've seen photos of these with a scope mount and I think that'd be a great option for competing in...
This is true. However, it still intercepts the outer edge of the follower before it reaches the top of the magazine and causes the last round to angle down instead of maintaining its usual nose-up...
Good deal, thanks for the recommendation! Does the gun ever slide up since there's nothing protecting the muzzle?
Thanks for those. Evidently that first one is the same thing as the Bulldog...
Hey guys,
This has probably been covered but it's hard to search for since "holster" yields a billion (yes! ONE BILLION EXACTLY) results and things like "OWB" aren't searchable. I'm looking for a...
