Thread: Model 720 front sight blade replacement?

    It is a Cylinder and Slide fixed rear sight for a S&W. The partial slot is larger than the C&S sight's front part - so that fits OK. You do need to drill and tap the top strap.

    No have not weight it yet. My guess is 1/4 to 1/2 oz lighter.

    Thats a nice job grapeman. I wish i had the stones to do something like that. Not that I have the tools needed to do that anyway. But, it sure is more functional now.

    Thanks for the info. That's a much better profile than the factory configuration. Any chance of seeing a pic of what the top strap and barrel look like now from above?

    Thanks. That proves that a little trimming here and there really doesn't remove much weight.

    But, it sure does make it look much more balanced and seems to have lowered it's overall height.

    Beautiful project gun you have there.
