I went ahead and started pulling 200 bullets from some .44 Special reloads my father in law rolled. He's passed away and the two boxes were unmarked. The bullets are Mt. Baldy 429421. I don't know what powder he used but I'm guessing 2400. I got about 16 grains out of the one I weighed. I lost some powder in the pulling process. It's a shame he didn't label them, but I guess I'd have pulled them anyway just to be safe. I'm not sure how old they are but they sure were purty. I'll reload them with the salvaged bullets.

Speaking of 44 special, I got my Matt's Bullets 250 gr. lead flat-point round nose hollowpoints a few days ago. I couldn't find an exact load for these, but I found a bullet that weighs 245 grains that is very close in profile to this one and I loaded it up. These are made of a softer lead, its not recommended for 44 magnum loadings but should mushroom nicely, from what they say on their website, and optimal loading is for 850 fps or so. The hollowpoint cavity is huge, the picture doesn't do it justice.

Last year I reloaded 2,200 9mm rounds and I've scarcely scratched the surface of shooting those, it's nice to be pat on a certain caliber.

Well haven't been loading anything as of late but I have casted 900 lead 104gr RN bullets for my 380's. I tonight now have 200 of these on the bench drying the Alox tumble lube they have been coated with and as soon as they are dry I will be loading some of my very first cast bullets.

Loaded the tumbler enough to end up with 16# of clean 9mm, and sorted by headstamp.

What bullet are you loading that .32 Auto with?
Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

1k 9mm 124jhp loaded over the last couple days. Fits just about perfect in the cheap plastic Harbor freight ammo cans. Now I am out of that particular bullet and will move on to whatever I find next. I am thinking 38spc since I noticed how many empty ammo boxes I have for them.
