Satisfaction with handloading, what a feeling

Feeling of satisfaction after replacing a broken rear sight and trying a new handload in the Super Blackhawk. Eye-ball install and windage was perfect and a few clicks north and bulls-eye!

That is what I am lovin about reloading. You get to tailor your own rounds for your needs, and then get to shoot your own recipe. I still keep factory ammo around for baselines with a new pistol. But then switch to reloads once I find the sweet spot.

I enjoy the act of reloading almost as much as shooting. I said almost. Bad weather days are spent reloading, while the nice days are spent shooting. Never run low that way.

What I find kind of patriotic to my home state is my 44 recipe is using Missouri made bullets in Missouri made brass rolled in my home. And it works well! lolol

Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell

I buy all my bullets from Missouri Bullet Company. Their Hy Tec coated bullets impress me.

Yepper! Last session I ran 100 rounds through the 44. 60 of them was MBC coated and full tilt mag loads and I got home with a clean bore. Very impressed!
