Question Powder through die for 300 BLK

Does anyone make a powder die for the 300 blackout/AAC? I've looked all over and all I'm seeing is modifying existing dies from 30 carbine or similar.

The Lee Charging die is what you seek. They sell just the short or just the long, however, the set is cheaper.

If you are just looking for a die to dispense powder then yeah, ^^^^ That. But I think you may have meant an expanding powder-through die to expedite loading Hi-Tech coated bullets, in which case, sadly, no.

I think the .30 Carbine die may not work as the neck of a .300BLK is just too short but it IS a very interesting idea that needs to be put to Lee!

I have wondered the same thing and just haven't got around to researching it, so thanks for the info guys!
I don't really manufacture that many 300 BO cartridges and so have just been using the old dipper system and scale while sitting inside at the table in the enjoyment of the AC since getting the 300 BO>
I hand prime on a lee priming tool, charge the cases and then when I get ready I go out to the laboratory and put them loooong booletts into that lil short case.
so far not a single problem.

I use the powder through die like the above as well as a lee universal expander when needed. Those two together work great.

The 30 carbine expander/funnel on the inside of the die is removed and put into the body of the short universal powder through die. That allows it to have the length needed. I think that's the way it works.

Although, you could just set the 30 carbine die too shallow to compensate for the extra depth reached by the 300.

I think eight method would work. But I agree, Lee is missing out on a gold mine with that specialized die that so many people could use for loading fat, cast subs.... I'd buy one.

I'm not wanting to load coated projectiles yet. It's just a pain running it on the turret; Step 1-decap, prime, remove the case and move it to the powder dispenser add powder then return to the turret press, Step 3-seat the projectile, Step 4-crimp.

When I'm loading 32 Winchester Special with 170 grain LFN GC I need to chamfer the case mouth slightly to keep the edge from shaving the projectile.

Yep - that's the issue for loading .300 BLK with powder/polymer/Hitek coated bullets too. I just don't own a .30-30 yet (but do seem to be collecting a bit of brass from the local range...so I may need to look at one....)

If I have a reason to get a .30-30 die set, I'll try to fiddle with the dies and get a combo for some sort of expanding powder through for them (300BLK)
