    No Love From Powder Valley

Placed my order for 370.00 worth of primers and powder Saturday 10PM...They ran a free hazmat Labor Day special for 24 hours. I phoned this morning to see if they might offer a 20.00 credit on future orders...no way Jose. I should have cancelled the order on Sunday night when I saw the offer, but didn't. Makes me not want to have any future orders. A 20 credit would have guaranteed future business to take advantage of it...holding to the letter of the law is not good business to my mind.

Yea I'm thinking that's not a great business plan.

Have you tried Midsouth Shooters Supply? My only issue with MSS is they say you have to get in a couple orders with them before they will ship to an address that is different than the billing address. Sorry but I'm not going to have $300 or $400 of powder and primers sitting on my porch until I get home from work...which by the way I am the shipping/receiving dept!

That was not a smart move on PV's part.Had 2 shopping carts full with $200 + worth of primers and bullets. One with PV and one with Midsouth shooting supplies. Glad I went with MSS. Deleted my cart with PV.

Oh dare they stick by their published policies.
Never trusted ANY rebates. Give me the discount upfront or forget it.

I worked in customer service for an airline for many years and in sales positions before that. I understand policies. I also understand customer accommodation and have found ways to do that to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. For that to happen, first the person must WANT to do that. A 20 credit on future orders, maybe expiring in a year, might have engendered both satisfaction and loyalty and insured a future order. If I forgot about it, then they win twice. I don't know their markup, but the credit would certainly have cost them less than 20 and the money they made on the next order would have also helped make up the few bucks they spent to make a customer happy.

I don't recall ever having any issue with powder valley myself, not sure IF I have ever contacted them??
BUT they have always had a great selection, very good prices and get the orders out quickly to me.
not long before they are going to get another pretty good order from me as its about that time for this old re-loader.
