I think it's time to start getting serious

With the Democratic lunatics - er - candidates - spewing their thoughts on 2A and the NRA being evil, as well as the recent shootings, it takes me back to 2008 when a Dem nominee named Barack Obama scared half of the nation so badly, we had ammo and gun scares for the next 8 years, off and on. I'm starting to make sure I have enough of everything related to reloading, so that I can continue to shoot when the 2020 nominee scares us all to death and we can't find primers and powder anymore.

Is anybody else of this mindset, or do you have a case to make for this not being the right time to start?

When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

I am glad that you posted this reminder...I need to bolster inventory of primers and powder. I don't recall any issues with projectiles, but I am short of 9mm Luger fodder. I am expecting the price of Modern Sporting rifles and components to spike also...the ILLinois new governor Toilets Pritzker is making noise about "AR" type guns. I really need to get out of here before they make me into a criminal.

I have plenty loaded already and factory too. But I need to start stocking up on reloading components.

I fully agree - primers are the real issue for me right now. Problem is that the price never recovered from the Obamascare and still sit at over $30/1k plus hazmat and at almost $40 locally.

Winchester has a huge rebate going on for primers. I just purchased 7k which put me at the max $$$$ amount for the rebate. I still need Large pistol but those are not as critical because I use the Winchesters for my PT92C which refused to light CCI primers. Powder I'm OK, Bullets are next!

What worries me more than anything is Trump caving to any 2A demands. Then he won't get re-elected and one of those 20 will.

I know I need a couple of hundred bullets for loading for my 45-70 and I need to check my supply of 209 primers for loading for my flare launchers.
    Otherwise I'm good to go.

I was stocking up leading to the 2016 election because everybody was saying that Hitlery was going to be the next President, I didn't put too much stock in it until I overheard someone at the Gun Club say "Hillary's going to win" then I got scared.
Right now I have about 20,000 large pistol primers 8,000 small rifle primers, about 2,000 small pistol primers and around 20 lbs of powder.
    I feel woefully under stocked.

I was so scared about Hildebeast being president that I was reloading for weeks, every day, before the election trying to get where I wanted to be. I was so relieved after the election that I stopped reloading for 6 months.
