course it depends on which primers that you like.

Reality check....this is like the Democrats and the African-American vote. They always get the bulk of it, even if they sat on their hands. Why? Because they may not have done anything for you, but the Republicans never will, or at least that's the belief.

Even if Trump gives on some gun control issues at the margin, he'll still get the right to vote for him. Whadda ya gonna do? vote for Harris/Biden/Booker/Warren et al because he bailed a bit on you? I think not.

Unless we get a viable third-party candidate. That would be a game changer in an election where Trump is wounded from trade war / 2A issues and the left nominates a non-Biden.

Split the vote and you get President Klobuchar, Booker or ...M.O. See what happens to your Federal court judges then.

Here in Florida we almost lost the governorship and a senator to..... two of the most low life Democrats to run for office. Why...the laws passed by compromising sitting republicans on the bumpstock ban and the 21 year old to buy firearms laws. Many republicans did not vote for the republican candidates out of spite. They actually believed and tried to make people buy into ..."Oh well we lost this election , we will win the next"!!!! Now it is a known fact we pro gun, 2nd Amendment believers have always been the ones to compromise, but to think we lose the election and we will not be stripped of everything was just foolish. You win the election...next election you have a primary to teach a lesson or get the candidates attention if he or she is not doing what they were voted in for. Look, I voted for President Trump, I support most of what he does...but come on, he has to change his attitude and put that ego away to help republicans keep and win more seat in congress. This election is not all about him. If he loses we have to keep at least the senate and gain some if not the majority back in the House. He needs to realize this. ALL republicans need to come together and vote for the conservative values this coming election...our freedom depends on it.

I'm more worried about what kind of reactionary laws Trump himself my try to throw out there. I feel inclined to point out that Obama signed two gun laws and both of them were expansive. Trump did over turn that awful Social Security thing, then he summarily banned bump stocks. So far he hasn't been the hero you gun rights advocates had hoped for.

I suppose I should stash more primers and powder. I think I have enough .22LR to get me through a few years at least all left over from the last panic. I think I need a little more .223 ammo, though. If they outlaw ARs, .223 demand will be out the roof.

I'm starting to make sure I have enough of everything related to reloading, so that I can continue to shoot when the 2020 nominee scares us all to death and we can't find primers and powder anymore.

Is anybody else of this mindset, or do you have a case to make for this not being the right time to start?
I am watching the national situation very carefully. We could be one tweet away from "stuff-hits-the-fan". I don't reload but I am paying close attention to ammo and magazines and usually have to talk myself out of buying more AR mags although I could probably use a few more AK mags.

Looks like the reloaders read the writing on the wall. I hope a few of the non-loaders get on the bandwagon and prepare. I've loaded up enough to get me through any crisis, but continue to stock up on all the components. Powders and primers will last a long time if stored properly, so maybe my kids, or theirs, might find them useful - if there are any guns left. Regardless, I see huge taxes on ammo and components in the next leg-jerk legislation and it's wise to get it while it's still available.

I've been thinkin' I might need some large PVC pipe and end caps and, of course, desiccant.

I couldn't find any 6" or larger end caps - might be a special $$$ order. Inviting solution, but unless your spot is on land that will remain in the family, it's risky. Long term storage like that is just like giving them up completely. At my age, I'd never remember where they are stored.
