    Note to self

Note to self, use a little more lube on cases when using a brand new or just degunked with brake clean die...

No fun at all. I've done it myself. I did it twice in one reloading session.

Most old guys that have loaded a while keep drill, tap and case remover somewhere handy. Sooner or later we all screw up. Usually involves distraction

Unfortunately the LEE rifle die I was using only allows the decapping pin to come out the bottom and it will not move up far enough to drill and use a tap without damaging it. Stuck it in the freezer for a bit, twisted the case with a pipe wrench and tapped the decapping pin a couple times and it came out.

I have used a slide hammer with a self tapping screw in a slide hammer screwed into the flash hole. Worked well for .223 in RCBS dies.

If using the Lee resizing die should I take the depriming pin out before using the resizing die since I deprime with the universal depriming die? Have not experienced a stuck case yet myself.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

I dont think I would, the neck ID is made by the decapping pin on the way out. Might be hard to get a bullet started in the case without the pin.
