No amount of describing the problem seemed to sink in. Guess I'll just wait until my slide is beyond repair.
Very shortly, there will be a recoil assembly available that does not have the same step on the spring causing that issue.

Build a better mousetrap and the masses will come ! I want one of the lakeline captive springs when available as my TX 22 is exhibiting same wear issues although it does not interfere with functioning of firearm in this case I will fix it even though it is not broke yet !

SO this isn't really brain Surgery to correct this particular problem then?
someone (like the manufacture) just needs to want to fix it then?

G&A just named the TX22 'gun of the year'.
Wonder how long that will last with the barrel and recoil spring issues.

I think it will last a long time. There are very few reports of this problem or problems Except by a few people on this forum. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying the problems do not exist, I am saying that the number of people reporting the problem is miniscule compared to the thousands of guns they are shipping to other people who either don't recognize the problem or don't have it.

I don't know how many incidences of a problem like this has to happen before a manufacturer changes their assembly plans, but I really don't believe the TX22 is at that point. Mine has had no problems with recoil Spring causing wear or with bad rifling causing over leading or any other problem. The biggest problem my gun has is keeping it loaded.....

Took your advice and filed mine down also. Got it early (before many rounds) and don't see any damage to the frame (maybe 500 rounds now). Thanks for the post.

PS: matter of fact, I smoothed off edge of the recoil spring all the way around and put a touch of grease on the end.
