I will probably take a special tap called a bottom or bottoming tap unless the hole is a through hole which I doubt (mine doesn't). Also the screw has or should have ridges on the under side of the screw head to keep it from turning.

I actually just posted a thread detailing installing a Kensight on my PT99. It was VERY easy.

Finally getting around to (trying) fix my PT99 rear sight. The elevation screw had broken off. Tried to get out the old screw, but the small cross pin holding it in will not move. Has anyone ever removed one of these? Is the rear sight made to be disassembled?

The cross pin holding the elevation screw on my PT99 is staked in so it won't come out.

The Kensight appears to be the way to go. jwc007, just curious how you lined up the holes you drilled in the slide to match the existing hole in the sight?
