Is it possible to convert a PT92 with Decocker to a PT92 with safety only?

I would like to remove the decocking functionality from my PT92AF. I am familiar with 1911 and HK USP type trigger assemblies. I was wondering if I could use parts from a non-decocker model PT92 to convert mine to a safety only configuration. I figure I would need the hammer and sear from a non-decocker model, and perhaps the safety assembly. If any one has done this, I would appreciate your input. If there are any other parts that might be necessary please let me know. Aside from the left-side grip bush being moved down to accommodate the decocker spring, are there any differences in the frames?

Or is there a way to just block the ability for the safety lever to move down into the deck position?

    Thank you.

What if you just installed grips from a non-decocker model? Do the holes line up?

Unfortunately no, they do not. I appreciate the suggestion.

A PT92AF that left the factory with a decocker should have also been shipped with the parts to convert it back to Safety Only. Taurus Customer Service should be able to provide the parts to convert from decocker to safety only along with a copy of the User's Manual which explains the conversion process going both ways.

I believe the decocker model had a longer thingy as noted in the picture. You might try replacing the decocker model left side safety with a non-decocker safety...which would be smarter than just grinding the thingy off. Or buy one and experiment.

I believe the safety only version is the longer one. I have a decocker model and in trying to find stainless controls, I ordered one from Numrich and it wouldn't fit. Once I compared the two I realized it wasn't for my model. Here's a few pics showing the differences. Mine is the gray colored one. The shinier one is the one I ordered. Hope this helps.

Here's a screenshot with part numbers. You can clearly see the differences in that picture as well. Guess I should have looked closer.
