I don't pay anything so if you are paying more than that, you are getting ripped off.

Gunbroker has a great FFL search tool with prices.

Well that's certainly good for you. Unfortunately that's about the going rate here in SE Wis. Seen a couple cheaper but they look like dealers working from their homes which isn't always convenient.

If this was a purchase made within Wisconsin it wouldn't have had to go thru an FFL.

I just picked up a really nice PT-92 with the walnut grips at my LGS, it was on consignment from an older lady whose husband passed and the gun sat in the safe the whole time. With the condition it is in it might have 100 rnds through it; maybe...

In WI, long guns are free and handguns are $10. That's what the background stuff costs. Anything above that is what your dealer gets for their time.

My guy in Sun Prairie literally asks for nothing above that $10 handgun thing, but I go $10-20 each time on top. $35 isn't terrible if that includes the $10 background.

McE,Yes that is also going to cover the background check. Aside from the fact that this is a relatively new store in town I'm going to try and support them. Next nearest store is 30miles away. Wish he had room for a range.

I'm glad to hear about the up tic in prices for the 92/99 models. I have an early 90's stainless PT99 with 4 nickel plated mags that I have been thinking about selling.

Sold my old PT92 SS to my friend the other day.... He wanted it, and I haven't shot it for a few years --- so now it's his. The nice thing is, he won't resell it without offering it to me for the same price. We have traded a lot of guns over the years, at little or no cost................

This is the PT92C that I got off Gun Broker. It actually looks better in hand than in the pictures.

    Winning bid was $250.oo
