    PT92AF vs PT92BL

This question may have been answered somewhere else, but I am either to dumb (or too lazy) to find it. Can someone please explain to me the difference between a PT92AF and a PT92BL. Several months ago, I bought a PT92AF at Academy Sports for $406.00, OTD. I really liked the gun, except the magazines, and planned to keep it forever. Not long ago, an acquaintance offered more than I paid, so I sold it to him (cash strapped at the time). Now I'm back in the market, and all I'm finding are the "BL" suffix pistols (about $100 higher). What's the difference?

The PT92AF has an anodized aluminum frame while the PT92B has a blued steel frame. They are basically the same thing only different materials to make them. Of course the weight will be more on the steel frame PT92B. My PT92AFS has the aluminum frame and stainless slide pictured here.

I have never heard of a steel frame PT-92.

Neither have I ! Could the "BL" stands for "Blued Finish" ? The real difference is probably production time and the BL models are just higher priced newer models of the same thing.

Also, for "Stainless Steel", they would have an "SS". Now even the Stainless Steel Models have ALWAYS had an Aluminum (Aluminium) Frame, which is Clear Coat Anodized.
