The lock up on these is very positive and tight unlike many break action guns. The fact that it has a 22" barrel and is still only 37.5" long is fantastic.

That's a beaut! Lock up is super tight on these, isn't it!? I knew something felt weird, I'm not used to that.

I hope to do some shooting Sunday, hopefully a range report will follow.

I'm used to the lock up on H&R Handi rifles and this is so much more positive and tight. I look forward to hearing how it does at the range.

I've been content with my small assortment of long guns for almost a year, now. Then the two of you post pictures and testimonials of an outstandingly beautiful rifle, a model of which I was blissfully ignorant until a few minutes ago.

Thus proving, yet again, that TaurusArmed.net is, justifiably, also known as Enablers R Us.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to see how I might obtain one of those gorgeous guns.

Last night I added a Talley one piece scope mount which was able to fit without having to remove the rear sight and I was pleasantly surprised by that. The scope I have for it is a Redfield Revenge 2-7x34 which I think is a good fit for this rifle. The only problem is that I don't have enough room to get my thumb on the hammer so this morning I ordered a Grovtec hammer extension from Henry. I'm hoping that will solve my problem. On my single shot Henry in .44 mag. I used a different mount and a Leupold 1.5-4x20 and didn't have that problem with clearance for the hammer.

I thought I had seen that a couple days ago, but I didn't realize they replaced two with one.

I wonder if Alfonse could source a spring like that?
