Congrats on a good looking rifle. I hope you enjoy it.

That 444Marlin was an itch I always wanted to scratch, but never quite did.

Good stuff. Enjoy your new rifle.

always wanted a .444 Marlin. When I finally bought my big bore lever gun I went with the 450 Marlin. Sure wish I had gone .444.

When I was a kid my dad and I often went shooting in an abandoned quarry pit. Around 1968 or '69 I found a couple of spent .444 cartridges and was completely fascinated by them. Still have them somewhere, and I've still never fired a .444 lever gun.

    Sweet buy...congratulations!

The .444 Marlin is a great cartridge to reload. Guys down at the club gave me grief saying that it was only good as a close in brush gun. Before the day was over I had 'em smacking down bowling pins at 300 yards with my 444ss.

    Enjoy, enjoy.

If they started production on the Marlin 444P, I would be all over it.
