    Henry .22 lever action

I've wanted one of these for a long time. Well I saw one posted on Armslist the other day for $200. I messaged the seller and we arranged to meet yesterday afternoon. The gun has a few dings and a little surface rust near the muzzle, but it will clean up pretty well. The action is silky smooth and it locks up tight. I can't wait to get it to the range. My Son is 5 and I've been slowly working with him in the back yard with a few pellet guns. This will be his range gun when the time is right to bring him along.

Recently my Sons gave me a Henry .22 Carbine for my birthday.
Am 80 years old and this rifle is perfect for these old eyes. I did replace the front sight to a Hi Viz though.
You and your Son will enjoy years of fun with this wonderful rifle.

My Big boy brass is going to be a family heirloom. Henry's just tend to hold that prized status to them. As an Aside, I have NEVER heard of one having the barrel shot out from overshooting.

I look at the 357 Henry in Wal-Mart every time I go in. $200 for that rifle seems like a great deal.

Congratulations on the Armslist find! I hope you like it as much as I do my 22 WMR Golden Boy.

I was happy to learn that Henry has come out with some loading gate models and hope they expand on that. If so, another Henry will probably end up on the bucket list.
