Yessir. I sure do like that .30-30 sideloader. I just hope once they hit he streets in numbers he prices will come down a bit.

He wasn't saying the 357 Henry in Walmart was $200...He was saying the $200 the OP paid for his used .22 on Armslist was a great deal.

    ^^^^^^This^^^^^^

You can certainly buy a 22LR Henry Lever at WalMart for ~ 400; you gonna be looking at twice that for 357,44 & 45 Henry’s.

Nice looking gun to the OP.

Got 2 10/22 takedowns so don’t feel the need for a Lever in that caliber.

the basic Henry .22 Model H001 lever action is selling at Walmart for $289.00 in all the stores I looked at online using BrickSeek Walmart Inventory Checker...search for your store by zip code to see if they have them in stock

Finally made it to the 25 yard indoor range to try out my Henry 22.
wear bifocals and have trouble getting good focus on the sights so I was pleased with the results. Especially looking at a black target with black sights.

The gun has a few dings and a little surface rust near the muzzle, but it will clean up pretty well. The action is silky smooth and it locks up tight. I can't wait to get it to the range. My Son is 5 and I've been slowly working with him in the back yard with a few pellet guns. This will be his range gun when the time is right to bring him along.
You're going to really enjoy that Henry, especially with your boy. I got one a few years ago and love it!
