Interesting. I'm not familiar with the caliber.

Meh....not really interested. If I went with an AR caliber, I think it'd be .450 Bushmaster.

I'm more interested in the American Ranch compact bolt rifle. A good throw in the back seat brush gun.

Looks interesting, a blown out .223 case so it should be an easy conversion.

Yeah, there's lots of fun looking rifles out now. I'm just happy with what I've got. None of it is latest and greatest, but heck, they have all worked for me for years.

    Interesting round.

It also shows that nothing is new. Looks like it's a modern incarnation of the old .351WSL but running about 400fps faster with a 180gr bullet. Building it with a 5.56 parent case should help it hang around.

I like the round, and will likely get one eventually. I do think it has a future, but I don’t think it is what everybody thinks it is. It’s really more of a stretched out 9mm with a rebated 223 case head. It will also take a 3 step process to form the case from a 223. And in doing so you blow out the web by .014 of an inch. I am not much on blowing out the web. How much will it weaken the case? Not sure, but it sounds like a receptive for case head separation to me.

it also calls for .355 bullets, not .357 like is often heard. But the throat starts as at .357. Should keep some reloader from blowing themselves up, but it sure doesn’t bode well for accuracy.

It has has a very good bore ratio though. Should be fairly quiet, all things considered, and it should handle recoil well.

It reminds me of the 7mm/08 Remington. A-Square did all the work and Remington got the cartridge. Same-Same as the 350 Legend. MDWS already has the 357 AR. Winchester marketed it. Both are stolen designs. To be fair, the MDWS 357 AR is a true 223 case and takes a .357 bullet, so there are differences.

if the 350 Legend had been released before the 450 Bushmaster I likely would not own a Bushmaster. Ruger made it convenient for me with the 450 BM American Ranch. But I actually like the 458 SOCOM better. I just like bottle necked cases unless the case has a rim on it. Ruger has done the same with the 350 Legend. I am purchasing a Ruger American Ranch or Predator to match up with my AR’s. Now I have an excuse to build another AR.

My .357 cast should work well in that ranch rifle for some cheap shooting.
