Glock 23 valuation in current market?

I have come across a Glock 23 with night sights. It has had approx 300 rounds run though it and looks like new. Seller is also adding 750 rounds of .40s&w Winchester white box rounds of ammo, 40 round box of Federal hydro-shock HP, and a total of 5magazines (2each 13 round and 3 each 10round).

    His asking price is $850.

What kind of a total value would you feel would be a purchase price point. My thoughts are more along the line of $500 for the Glock + $300 for the ammo and extra 10 round magazines.

What say you...the wise and informed?

Lonestar Jake may be able to help you. I just don't follow much on Glocks. Nothing against them, just don't care for them.

To see what current prices of used guns or new guns are going for, I go look at the usual online selling websites and enter a search. Then you add shipping and transfer fee to get a potential price. Yet, you have to keep in mind that guns still in the bidding process may appear to be low priced.

Shop I work in has not inflated prices,
From my experience we would put a used Gen 3 G23 with night night sights, box and 2 mags in the $450-$500 range. Best price on 50 rounds of Winchester FMJ .40 s&w is $15.00 so 15 boxes would be $225, 10 round mags I would value at $25 each on the high side.
So IMO $800 would be top dollar, $700-$725 would be more in my range and $600 would be a smoking deal.

I agree with stallard. But most people are inflating the prices of their firearms big time. Going to be a whole lot of WHY DID I SPEND THAT MUCH FOR THIS GUN people soon. My LGS has stayed loyal to their people. If you are not a regular customer you are limited to two boxes of ammo. Keeps the hoarders away.

This is what a fair seller would value it at. I'm seeing people asking 1K for used glocks alone.

Due to the rising cost of ammo. A warning shot will NOT be fired!!

Gun alone with night sights is going from $550-$750 here.

So I'd take the deal if I were interested in the S&W .40 cal.

I agree, ammo is a component here.

Some projections via third party sources (referencing major manufactures), state gun owners should get used to low availability, high demand, and some inflated prices.

I am currently highly interested in a Glock 23, but I wouldn't close on this package.

I would consider this a not so great deal for the buyer, but you do have to consider the panicked market. People are certainly capitalizing on fear, whether its real or perceived.. I could sell a pistol I bought last year, NIB for $500, for about $1200 right now, with over 1000 rounds through it-- if only I didn't love it so much and was a complete tool..

I think Stallard is on the money. Have a look at what Mark at Summit sells new and used Glocks for Firearms, Guns, Rifles. Grain Valley, Missouri. - he sells out because he keeps prices fair. He gets a great flow of inventory because he moves a lot of units new and LEO turn ins. The high end can go as high as it wants - doesn't mean I'm coming along for the ride. My family is 3 generations in the auto business.

Local here, $500 with nite sights would be good purchase. Then if I figure the ammo at $18 per box (again a good price around here, if found), the extra mags at $12 each and it comes out right at the $800 I am thinking of buying it at. Toss in the no tax or transfer fee due to a F2F, Bill of Sale and it gets sweeter yet.

I already have a Glock 32 with a .40s&w threaded barrel and a 9mm ported barrel that I can interchange with the .357Sig that comes with the Glock 32. This simply would be my duplicate Glock. I seem to have become a duplicate model kind of guy over the years.
