Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

Did you get that off a guy in a black suit who popped a light in your face afterwards?

Got the hard case at Harbor Freight. Room for one more 7.5 in upper. I'm looking for 45acp, but parts in that caliber aren't as readily available except for the big bucks pieces.
One of the plastic boxes on the bottom level holds the 9mm adaptor and tools, and the other will be for the 45acp adaptor. I also had a glue whoopsie on the foam with an unsuccessful camo job.

I have an old G23 LEO Turn-in I pick up a number of years ago. All the internals had been buffed and fluffed long ago, but the texturing was worn and kind of slippery. So I shaved the old stuff off a few days ago and today I stippled it.

Two old favorites. Charles Daly/KBI 1911 and Ruger KP-90. Both are sweet shooters.

Here's a new piece I bought just a few days ago. Not a Taurus, but I'm hoping to own a Taurus 689 SOON. Meanwhile, I bought this Beretta PX4 Storm full-size in .45ACP. I got a great deal on this used pistol at a local gun shop. It's in mint condition. I already own a PX4 Storm Compact in 9mm, and love it, but I have a LOT of .45 cases (over 3000) ready to reload, so having another .45ACP in addition to my Ruger SR1911 Commander stainless didn't seem to be a bad idea. What I really want to try is experimenting with a red dot sight on this gun. I haven't tried/used a red dot on a handgun yet, so I thought this would be a good platform for testing it, since I'm already very fond of the PX4, and it didn't cost all that much. These are REALLY nice guns!
