The BEST buy in a 1911 on the market in my opinion!
I was down at the range/gun shop yesterday shooting and of course msut browse the counters,--YEP! they still have the Ruger SR1911 Target model 10 MM.
wish they would get rid of those things (they always have more than one in stock) ,I really don't need another 10 MM .
IF its still down there next week I think I may need to buy it, just to help out some other addict that in my same situation, geez the things I do to help others out!

is the 1911 the light weight alloy frame or the standard?
Now IF Ruger came out with a commander Light weight in 38 Super they could serialize mine as number 00000001 cause I would buy the first one off the line!

It shot fantastic! Only ran one box of Remington 230 grain ball through it, but it ran 100%!

I was doing my usual from 30', one second intervals. I made the mistake of shooting the 1911 first, they are the top two 6" plates, because when I got to my G43X, it felt so light and "whippy", I could not keep it steady! Usually, I am steady with my Glocks, but that 1911 just kept coming right back on target...even with the .45 ACP chambering.

Now, I think I want to get a Springfield full sized. I should have never bought that first 1911.

1903 but made in 1923. It also fits the Fobus C21 holster which is the 1911 version but actually fits the little S&W BG380 holster shown perfectly. Also I understand Alien Gear makes a shell for the 1903 now and so may order one of those.
The next handgun I buy will be the next to last handgun I ever buy!

Not sure IF they still make the Springfield Armory Range Officer in the original design?
5 inch GVT model, all steeel in 45 acp.
but i got to tell ay mines a jewel of a weapon.
is actually day in and day out my most accurate 1911 45 acp and that bunch includes a Colt, a Dan Wesson.
don't remember the cost I think about 800 but that's a lot less than the Colt and Dan Wesson for sure.
