My New To Me 59 Year Old Revolver...

Bought on GB and picked up the other day from my FFL. It's a 1960 Miroku Liberty Chief 38 spcl 6 round snubby. No rust just patina smudges or maybe what's left of the bluing. The barrel is clean and bright with good rifling. The mechanics work fine. It came with the original wooden grips but I installed the S&W J frame rubber grips. It is a good shooter.

Got it for $294 which included shipping and a spare parts kit. My only other expense was $20 to my FFL.

There were two sizes IIRC. Is yours the 5 round or 6 round model?

This is the 6 rounder. These were originally built for the Japanese police forces.

    Neat, the larger framed version.

Cool find. I love older revolvers as well. Always looking for a deal. Just hard to find locally anymore.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.
