Since this thread originated in ILLnoise, I voted twice!

BTW when is the next Ar's Anonymous meeting?

Good deal! Remember the Flash Can...your adjacent shooters will thank you. I have the 300 BLK pistol so I'll be able to swap out the uppers, slap in the BCG and charging handle and have a new pistol for 100 bucks.

You're in Illinois...we should head up to McMiller to give them a shake down cruise.

Right after the 1911 Addicts monthly meeting. If memory serves, I think someone once said they hold those at Hooters.

I was under the misapprehension that I could assemble the upper that is due for delivery Monday with hand tools I already own. Now finding out I need an armorer's wrench at a minimum.

Looking at these tools for 16 bucks delivered...as I am not going to be building one per week, the quality is not as much of a concern as is the price.

The only special tool you'll need is a torque wrench with a crows foot for the barrel nut. As long as you have a decent tool box you wont need any special AR tools.

McMiller is by Elkhorn WI...about 25 miles North of the state line, just past Lake Geneva. I just looked...Hume is by Arcola. We took our bicycles down your way some years back as I always wanted to cycle in Amish country.

AHH< I thought that Taurus decided NOT to produce their AR??
SOOOO!! obviously these black assault rifles are a passing fad!
that would have been funny though IF you really think about, they would be the only AR in the world that you could not buy magazines or parts for!!---- sorry sometimes my mind just takes to a place that I can't explain.
