This one might give the Sig P365 a run for it's money as it's only a little bigger and about $150 or more less at retail with 10 round capacity.

Ruger makes some fine firearms, I have several.
The only thing I would have to check out on that pistol
would be if I had room for all my fingers on the grips.
The pistol looks a little 'stubby' to me.
I need room for a comfortable two fingers and preferably all three.

Have you held a Sig P365? That Ruger is 4.35" high and the Sig is 4.3".

I have a P365 and can get all 3 fingers around the grip with the magazine that has the extender on it.

    No, not yet.
    I have two Sig P228's and a P229.
I tend to gravitate to larger pistols as they fit my hands better.
You should see me swing from tree to tree..............

Not a bad comparison at all considering the price difference between the P365 and the Security 9 C. If you go to the Ruger website, they no longer show the SR series in 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP. A pity because the 9 and .45 I bought were excellent pistols. Evidently, the Security 9 is doing better for them as well as the "American" series pistols. Right now, the most common SR you're likely to see for sale online is the SR40, which is the last autopistol Ruger has chambered in .40 S&W.

Listening to Tom Gresham's Gun Talk Radio yesterday, he's just recently finished Gunsite's 250 CQ course and in the process he put 400 rounds through his new P365 as well as using several different pistols. All raves for the P365, and that's all I hear about them. SIG USA has hit a home run with this one. And considering the cost of serious sub-compacts, the price really isn't bad at all.

I have the full size Security 9 and am very pleased with it. After seeing non-stop ads for S&W Shields and now the Glock 43 just might have to check out this version of the Security 9.

It looks like there are a few of them out in the wide. This website says they're available online for $293.99

This sites says that they have 2 in the store but none available online.

and 4 plus ounces heavier, no tritium sights, and the sig comes with 2 mags, not sure about this one?
they don't mention 2 so I figure its one.

To my mind they should have made the slide black SS like the Shield.
“…democratic socialism, the great utopia of the last few generations, is not only unachievable but that to strive for it produces something utterly different – the very destruction of freedom itself. As has been aptly said: ‘What has always made the state a hell on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it his heaven.'” F.A. Hayek
