    I think the AR pistols look great, and those are pretty good deals.
    Having said that and having shot one... No thanks.

    There just doesn't seem a way to sight the darn things. Hip shooting works best, but not very accurate, holding it up to the face, puts a buffer tube on your nose.

    not to mention the muzzle flash and loud report.
    that should be a lot of fun to shoot at 3 in the morning inside your house.

    So for example, if someone already has a complete stripped lower, could they build a AR pistol using that and just forego or sell the 80% lower receiver separately later on? (or put it up somewhere for in the future?)

    Yes if you don't already have the shoulder stock. And yes, a 7.5 is LOUD. Its not so bad behind the muzzle, but next to it is much louder than a rifle, or even my 11.5". Sitting next to my brother sighting his in, and it felt like an actual thump to my ear drum. Definitely looks cool.

    Muzzle devices like these will go a long way towards being kind to the shooter next to you on the range;

    When you say loud, are you referring to all calibers? If I'm stuck with this receiver (thanks Trump ) and use it for a pistol build, it probably won't be in 5.56, probably 300 blackout.

    I've only shot 556 out of one. My buddy has an 8 inch 300 blackout, but we haven't taken it out yet. As pointed out above, I'm sure a linear compensator will tame the concussion quite noticably.
