Re: pf 9 vs any taurus cc pistol

I had a Ke lTec P11 with a magazine extension. It was easily concealed and I could brute force it onto target, but I didn't care for it as compared to my PT609. I gave the P11 to my Dad for Father's Day.

I shot a Ruger LCP, if you want a great pocket pistol that is the way to go. Me, Im low budget with a PT22 on those days when I'm not wearing enough to reasonably carry anything else, and my PT 609 on most other days, unless I'm dressed to carry my Judge.

Make sure you shoot a Kel Tec before buying, its a handfull that will take some getting used to.

    Cheers,
    Rick

Have to compare apples to apples here.

The PF-9 is a single stack pistol versus the other guns asked about. It is a fine gun , but is lighter than the Taurus PT111 or the Keltec P11. Thus recoil is going to be a bit more harsh than for the P11 or the PT111. Might not be an issue for you, but has to be considered.

The only Taurus that compares to a PF9 is a PT709 Slim and there's not a lot of those out there to compare experiences to. Just yet anyway.

This is about what fits you and fills your needs. There is pros and cons in the links below. These are categorized by make and model.

    For a comparison there's these.

    That should cover the comparisons.

I prefer the PT111 Mil/pro. Just fits me well, functions with no hiccups, and has given sterling service. People who have PT111s report that even though there are different hand sizes the PT111 fits them well.

Qwiks is right.....and in my opinion, until the PT709 makes it out, there is no valid comparison between a PF9 and, say, a PT945 or something like that. The PF9 is the thinnest 9mm package out there, and will remain so even after the 709 hits the market. It makes a really nice conceal carry option, especially down here where it gets really hot in the summer. Even if I end up with a 709, I'll probably still keep the Keltec.
