Many of the spanish pistols have no trademark, most however have a brand of sorts in a symbol somewhere.
Astra made many 38 revolvers most resembling colts or s and w police handguns,in 38 long ,38 Largo and 38 special,If I remeber correctly largo is 38 special,They did however load to different standards and some companies had soft steel.Id do some research prior to placing any other than light handloads in it,doubt if sammi Plus rated.
Even the 38 s and w if it locks up tight is safe to use with low power plinking ammo, but not all even when new could handle hot loads.
I own a 1914 Royal in 32 acp,hey have a bad rep mostly because of rushing pistols out the door for ww1,mine is ok for the time period.
    Nice looking pistol

Ditto! That's a great looking wheelie. I sometimes take for granted having a big enough chunk of land and neighbors happy to have a practiced shooter next door. Tomorrow morning, after church, I'll be picking up my latest toy, Springfield Armory XDS 45, and as fast as I get out of my suit and tie, I'll be lighting it up in the backyard.
Shoot and enjoy your new gun in good health.

Well, it LOOKS cool no matter how it shoots. Love the case hardening. Sorta reminds one of the Colt Lightening.

Probably a Spanish copy of the Lightening. Some European countries had a real cottage industry going ripping off legitimate gun makers both here and abroad. Colt had problems all of the time.

Could be .38 S&W and not special. You need to make sure because normal .38 special loads could be too much for it.
