Check Gunbroker.com under Gun Parts. There are companies that acquire guns from various police jurisdictions that are required to destroy guns. They sell parts, sometimes referred to as 'kits' so you might find a reasonably 'new' G2C slide and/or barrel. That's how I got my PT-145 slide assembly.

I'll take a look, the last "Kit" I came across was $200 before shipping.

Update to my post: In recent months, I have acquired both the Springfield XD Mod 2 Subcompact in 40S&W and 45ACP. These are super guns, well made, accurate and fun to shoot and easy to carry. I installed a Powder River trigger in the 40 S&W model and might do the same on the 45ACP. My PT145 Mil Pro is still an EDC but the PT140 is out of service. I'm head's up for a stainless steel slide for the PT145, something about that gun that I can't give it up.

point of aim and point of impact .

LOL , sight picture and Kentucky windage. If it doesn't have adjustable sights, adjust it with a hammer.
