Hi Ed and welcome to the forum. I am pretty sure the original Millenniums are a totally different design from the G2 iteration. I'm going to move your thread to the Millennium forum to attract more attention.
“Historically, freedom is a rare and fragile thing . . . Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell

This is a quick list of differences. As far as interchangeability of frames, 1st gen is a no, 2nd and 3rd gen, maybe. I wouldn't think they'd be too far off, but modification would probably be required.

You don't want a 1st Generation frame. Those did not have a integral rail on the bottom of the frame, and were prone to developing stress cracks. The 2nd Generation did have the integral rail, which probably added strength to the frame, and were still DAO. I have one of those and love it. The front sight on the first and second gen PT145's was a staked unit. The third generation was single action and had a dovetailed front sight.

Possibly, the 2nd and third generation frames would be interchangeable as I don't think there were any changes to the width or length of the frame. The trigger assembly on a gen 2 and 3 would be different, although folks have modified the 3rd Generation trigger to be DAO.

Good question to ask, maybe someone will have a definitive answer.
