    Lakeline Hurrah!

I know I've been largely absent from this board for nearly a year (as busy as I've been since retirement, how did I ever find time to work?) Over the New Year's holiday, I managed to find time and got out my PT111G2, set up an extemporized range in the front yard (backed by a 135 foot high ridge, so no stray rounds were going off the property) and shot some targets.

This was the first time I had used my Taurus since installing a Lakeline recoil spring assembly in it. Everything about the gun felt more "crisp" than it had when I had the factory recoil spring installed. Best after-market modification I have ever made to a gun. Bravo.

You're reminding me to get mine out for a spin! Lakeline's fiber optic front sight is a nice upgrade also!

Good to see you back! You need to stop letting that retirement "thing" mess with your screwing around!

I replaced my OEM PT111 G2 RSA very early with the Lakeline unit and must confess that I did not see or feel a difference in performance. I think it's a really good pistol out of the box. My primary reason for replacing the OEM unit is the future ability to buy replacement springs when they begin to wear and impact reliability.

I wish they had the G3 RSA's out. I just don't like the idea of metal and replaced all my rods in every gun that wasn't metal except my SR22.

Reminds me I need to get sights eventually.

Just like that there was a page 2 and the rod was there.

My sights (plastic) are beginning to show some wear. Lakeline will likely get me new ones.

My old G2 has a Lakeline recoil rod and spring, the metal striker follower, Lakeline night sights
    and a Keeptinkering trigger...............
Well over 5000 rounds through it, and the old girl just run's like a Swiss watch!
Sekol shot mine about a month ago, could not believe how nice it felt and ran!...............

There are "four boxes" that can be employed to resist the downfall of America, the ballot box, the soap box, the jury box and, lastly, the ammo box.
