I will only interject to note that Truglo is having a mail in rebate on pistol sights right now. $20 on the TFX Pros and $15 on the Tritium Pros.

The best sights I've found so far are Dawson Precision. You can get them in different heights and widths. Nothing quite like a 0.100 width sight for really narrowing down your point of aim.

Absolute best $40 I ever spent. If you have fixed rear sights, you can also get them in matched sets front and rear so it doesn't throw off the sight alignment by having a different height from stock.

What did you have to do to eliminate the keyed lock system? I have the PT111 G2 and was wondering about this.

Anyways I’m in the market for some good sights for this thing and maybe a better trigger.

    Suggestions?

If it were me, I'd see if I could talk Taurus out of the G3's fixed rear sight. Otherwise, something from lakeline.

(I really don't care for the G2C's adjustable rear sight.)

It's been so long I forget what the deal is...it might have to do with the SS striker guide not having a slot in the bottom that the orange plastic OEM guides have. My purchase and installation was not for the purpose of eliminating that feature since I never use them anyway. I bought it to improve the trigger feel and eliminate a plastic key component in the fire control system.

That is exactly how it does it. By not having the slot there is no way it can be engaged.

The stainless striker guide is a great upgrade.

Galloway Precision has their Asmund Short Stroke Trigger that specifically maintains the safety. Might give that one a try myself.

I have the Truglo TFX Pro tritium + fiber optic sights and can recommend them. How the installation is performed does have an important impact on POI results. If the front sight is not pressed all the way into the slide, the small gap can result in a 6 inch difference on your target at the range. Here's an image showing no gap. A sight press is also required for the rear sight installation. I then adjusted windage using a laser bore sight along with careful adjustments with a sight press before testing it at the range.

Yeah, I did a little color fill work as well.

At least until someone figures out how to install the G3 Trigger in the G2.
The frame would have to be modified to put the G3 trigger in the G2C/G2S or earlier Millennium guns. The area behind the trigger on the G3 is lower to clear the safety block and it has two vertical slits for the sides of the trigger.

There are options for both keeping and removing the restrike capability with aftermarket triggers.
