Just ordered my NEW Taurus G2C today! was a tough choice.

I recently sold my Taurus PT709 slim 9mm stainless and was in the market for a replacement. I really wanted that awesome newer style textured grip and +5 round capacity. I was also thinking about the G2S but held each next to each other and the G2C really was not that much WIDER at all, but is a little bit heavier.

I ordered the gray frame with stainless slide from BGS. Cant wait for it to arrive! pics coming.

Run her with some 124gr to break it in. My PT111 G2 has at a minimum of 10,000 rounds through it. It was made in 2015, and I've the black frame stainless slide 2017 model.

Truglo makes their TFX night sights for it as well. My 2015 sports the TFX, and the 2017 just has a modified front sight from a set of TFO for a Glock. I found I lost nothing with just having the front sight only as a night sight. It reinforces you to concentrate on the front sight.

Concealment Express makes a nice IWB Kydex holster that is reasonable priced.

Congrats on the soon to be new carry piece. I had always thought that I wanted a "Slim" or similar smaller 9mm ..then consider the package that my PT 111 G2 offers and figure that I can't improve over 12 +1 in that size pistol. I still think about a pocket sized 9 and may end up with some model in the future.

Plan to break her in with 115gr white box Winchester, also will be purchasing a Kydex holster for it. Don't think I'm going to mess with the sights at all maybe add a laser later on down the line.

It's definitely a tough choice I don't think you can go wrong with either. I like the size of a single stack 9mm. The size difference between the G2C and G2S is minimal dimensions wise, the fully loaded weight does have a difference though. I also prefer the slide design on the G2C over the G2S.

I was actually referring to the 709 Slim...I really wouldn't got for the G2S also considering the size and reduction in capacity.

No complaints from me on the slim was very compact and reliable, I just wanted something newer in the Taurus lineup.

Anybody else have the grey frame with stainless slide combo? They say it's a "limited edition" I think they look really sharp none the less.

I haven't seen one yet. Of course you're required to post photos of your new pistola, cuz we all want to see it!
