My MEC-GAR SIG SAUER P226 magazines work fine in my Taurus Millennium G2 PT111

But on MEC_GAR's website there is a note that says " *This magazine will not work in Taurus PT-111 G2 pistols"

    https://www.mec-gar.com/pistol-magaz...h-Cap-Extended

I've tested the MEC-GAR magazines full, half-full, with just 2 rounds and with mixed FMJ/JHP and I've never had a malfunction of any kind with these magazines and they always hold the slide open on the last round.

Does anyone else use these magazines?

So why would they state it does not work? Liability of some sort? Pressure from Sig?

Can anyone confirm that the P228's work as well?

As long as it’s double stack it should work. I have an M11A1 and it’s basically a fancy getup for the P228 - which is nothing more than a Compact P226 w/o rails. It accepts mags for P228 and P229.

Good question. If anything, I would think that inter-make and model compatibility would be better for advertising.

My LCP II isn’t supposed to be backwards compatible with the original LCP mags (as far as the slide lock back when empty feature) but they lock the slide back at empty just like the ones which came with it.

I have a pair of SIG 9mm mags that work for me. If it wasn't for the mag catch cutouts, the S&W 5969 mags would work.

Guess I'll have to try again. I wasn't able to get through 1 mag without several jams. Failure to load.
