    alternative mags for pt111 g2

What mags will work in the pt111 g2 without modification. I am going to be in a defensive pistol class and need a third mag. I have access to some 9mm mags and would like to know which one to borrow for the class. Modification meaning cutting slot for the mag release, I don't care if it hangs out the bottom an inch or two.

Not worried about aesthetics just be able to function with 8 to 10 rounds.

I have heard mags from Sig p226 and the Taurus 24/7 would work but not sure.

    Thanks for the information.

There needs to be a sticky on this subject IMHO.

SIG P226 9mm mags by MecGar work in my experience without modifying.

The Mecgar P226 mags work. The pic below has the 18rd one.

Which XGrip spacer did you use for the P226 mags to fit your PT111 G2?

To anyone who owns one. How much do those larger capacity magazines affect the balance of the gun?

can't answer 53rd card but I just tried a mecgar 17 rrd aftermarket mag for my Beretta 92fs and it worked perfectly with new catch slots cut with a dremel. Shucks and loads well. I'll have to take it to the range now to be sure.

Oops! This requires modifying and the OP asked for non-modified. Sorry

Fits loose but i read that a layer or 2 of electrical tape on the front and back sides of the mag will help the grip fit snug. I havent tried it yet.

I have a G2 and the 17 round mag from the 24/7 pro works just fine. I really don't feel any change in balance.

Would the ten round 226 mag work? I would like a flush fit mag for easier carry.

I'd like to know this too. If there is a higher capacity magazine for the 226 that sits flush, please let us know.
