PT 145 with a recalcitrant mag

I picked up a used PT 145 recently. It came with 3 mags. (I paid $200...is that theft?)
all 3 mags fit and feed perfectly. One mag, however will not drop free. I have examined it closely and compared it with the other two and can find no obvious problems. It will release and drop about 1/4". The other two drop free. Anybody know of a common problem or an adjustment I can make on the magazine?

I would suggest getting a caliper out and start taking some measurements. Tolerances can be quite tight and the difference between one mag that sticks and another that works fine can be in the thousands of an inch. Other than that I can offer no help at all, but I can welcome you to the forum.

Make sure the mag is clean and smooth along the body. Maybe take a dry erase marker to color the outside of the body. Insert the mag and release it. See if it marks where the ink is to give you any indication .
