Hello from MO - an avid cyclist as well. On a recumbent I have a different set of carry issues - currently use a fanny pack but am looking for something more 'draw' oriented. In your case, have you (probably yes) compared the 709 Slim to the 738? They are totally different triggers (DOA vs unique striker type) and I took note (having big fingers) of the trigger reset AND the generous space in the trigger guard.
