Howdy from The Texas Hill Country

I'm here to learn about the Taurus PT 92.
I've got my eye on it at a local gun store so I thought it would be a good idea to learn what I'm in store for.

I've owned a couple of Beretta 92FS and 92 compacts in the past.
I really like the frame mounted safety/decocker and the stainless controls on the stainless model that I'm eyeing.

I've already gathered that the mags and grips do not interchange with the Beretta.

So then, every sentence started with "I"....what about you? What do you think about my new pistol?
Going to be an Ivory handled BBQ and range gun.

Don't try to talk me out of it. I'm already seduced.
    GOD BLESSED TEXAS

Welcome to TA from Cherokee County, Georgia.

Lots of 92 owners here, but I'm not one.

    Welcome from West Texas!

The 92s are great pistols. Mine was, but in a moment of weakness, I traded it for another want, that I thought I couldn’t live without.

    Welcome aboard, from Las Vegas!

All guns are seducing, even more so when you can get it at a good price!
Taurus sells good guns, at a good price.
These days guns are selling like hotcakes. If you can find a PT-92, buy it!
Unfortunately, many gun ranges are closed for the duration.

If you can see it then buy it before it is gone or wait for quite awhile.

    Welcome from Abilene!
If you liked the Beretta, you'll like the PT 92. Mine is fairly new but has been flawless. If the one you are looking at is pretty new I suggest you use snap caps and dry fire it a bunch after a thorough clean and lube. That operation helped the trigger feel on mine tremendously. Good luck!

Just an old guy who has enjoyed fast cars and guns since I was about 12 years of age.
