    Welcome from Northern Illinois!
“Historically, freedom is a rare and fragile thing . . . Freedom has cost the blood of millions in obscure places and in historic sites ranging from Gettysburg to the Gulag Archipelago . . .That something that cost so much in human lives should be surrendered piecemeal in exchange for visions and rhetoric seems grotesque. Freedom is not simply the right of intellectuals to circulate their merchandise. It is, above all, the right of ordinary people to find elbow room for themselves and a refuge from the rampaging presumptions of their ‘betters’.” Thomas Sowell

Welcome, from the Rust Belt USA....
"Guns are a lot like parachutes ~ If you need one and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again".

The problems we face today are there because the people
who work for a living are out numbered by the people that vote for a living

"No man who refuses to bear arms can give sound reason why he should be allowed to live in a free country" Teddy Roosevelt

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

I hope i did this correctly. I am new to the Taurus community after recently purchasing a used sub compact as an experament. I usually carry an HK USP in .45 or a large caliber revolver. I was told i need to checknout some newer sub compacts so i got a 709 as an experament. Now i usually dont care for a 9mm and dont like short barrels, but for what it is and what it cost, i cannot complain. Taurus would not have been the first name i looked to but i have to say, im surprised. When i got my 709 i proceeded to fire HUNDREDS of rounds. I was shooting every day til i made the mistake of using steel case ammo which broke my extractor. Nonetheless, part is on order and customer service was helpful so im thinking about buying a taurus revolver. Any reccomendations?

And thats how i got to be part of the Taurus community
