    Welcome Aboard!!!

    ....oh wait.
I don't get to say that yet....
    Um......Request Permission to come aboard!

    Just bought a G2C.
$206 out the door with tax, title, and the first tank of gas.
My second Taurus, with the first being a 709 in FDE, which I use mostly as a truck gun or in a paddle holster while I'm doing yard work.

I don't usually have a problem with door-to-door sales people......

My introduction to the Taurus world didn't get off to a stellar start with the 709 since it hung up on the very first round I fired - but over the last 5 years or so it's been a very solid performer. No mods. No other range failures that I know of.

I bought a SS striker guide for the G2C and I've been trying to get the "dragging a wagon load of rocks up a steep hill" feel out of the trigger by working on the trigger a little. I was reminded for the 10,000th time that I married well when my dear wife spent time on her hands and knees in the kitchen helping me look for half of the striker collar that I foolishly launched off the table when I was re-installing the spring.
I also bought a SS guide rod (both from LakeLine) ......just cause.

Normally I would have already put several boxes of range ammo through it and a box or two of whatever meat cutters I decide to use for this weapon - but - Neighbors just moved in behind my beautiful 5 acres of paradise and I don't have a berm.

    Range report to follow.

Since I'm like the .45ACP round I usually use for EDC (old, fat, slow) I'm also going to have to upgrade the sights.

All of this will probably push my total investment in this gun up to about what I paid for my beloved M&P Shield 45.....

    Anyway....
Thanks in advance for what I'm sure will be a warm welcome, and I look forward to reading up on triggers and sights while I break in the G2C.

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

The problems we face today are there because the people

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

Grab your duffel and come on aboard. I used to have miles of farmland between where I shoot and the nearest anything. Dang Farmer next to me put in chicken houses against my back fence. I have a berm, but now no more high power rifle rounds for fun, just too dangerous if a round skipped. Arghhh...Let us know if your new G2C is a winner.

I'm guessing that the neighbors that just moved in would move out even faster if there was lead being lobbed over their direction on a regular basis (not that I suggest that).
