New from New York (very upstate)

Been a S&W guy since day one...but just bought my first Taurus (627)...impressed with the quality. Have questions of course.

Welcome NYED to the best gun forum around. Pleased to have you join the conversation. Expect lots of welcomes and somewhat sage advice. Of course you will be expected to post pictures of your new 627, hopefully a range review as well.

    Welcome from Fort Worth!

I've been doing some reading on the relationship between S&W and Taurus. Pretty interesting stuff.

Thanks for the link...I pick the gun up Monday so I couldn't study the frame design...your pictures help. I have a lot of experience with S&W revolvers, one of my favorites is the S&W 686 with round butt and open back strap Hogue rubber grips (very comfortable). I now need to locate a rubber grip for the Taurus that simulates the 686 open back-strap grip if you can help.

Hey bmbroker...lived in El Paso for a while...

When people lose their way and begin to vote for their own yokes and chains and suddenly we’re all wearing them, when Government turns tyrannical and the light of liberty is being extinguished.... our 2nd amendment is our ONLY hope.
