    New to handguns

    Hi

Im an older (69) guy who always wanted a handgun and finally bought one.
    I purchased a Taurus G2C 9mm.
Im going to take classes and eventually get a conceal and carry permit.

I joined this forum to link up with you all to share and troubleshoot.

    Im looking forward to participating.

    Welcome aboard, from Las Vegas!
You’re going to like this forum. It’s very friendly, and informative.
That G2C is an excellent gun to start out with. It’s even good if you’re very experienced with firearms.
It’s my main carry weapon. A very small percentage of owners have some minor problems that need to be looked at (a problem with Quality Control at Taurus), but by far the majority of G2C owners have no problems at all.

Welcome from Plano, TX. You'll find lots of great info here. Do not hesitate to ask any question, even those that you might think dumb (although I may have exceeded the quota for dumb questions already).

to the forum from the Florida Keys!
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.

A military force, at the command of Congress, can execute no laws, but such as the people perceive to be just and constitutional; for they will possess the power, and jealousy will instantly inspire the inclination, to resist the execution of a law which appears to them unjust and oppressive.
