I was playing around looking for a chronograph and thought why not Wally World. This is what I found. My question, what's up with the freight? How is that possible?
BTW I did purchase one, range report soon.

It's not really possible. They subsidize it. This often starts when a business offers "free" shipping, at least at first. As shipping costs rise, they have a choice. They can raise the price of the product or start adding on a surcharge. Whether it's "free", or a $1.97, it seems like a deal. Whereas constantly raising the product price is more noticeable to consumers.

Check WalMart.com, ship to store is normally free. Not sure on the price, pretty sure they were decent price last time I looked.

Yeah, ship to store was free, but estimated to take 8 days longer. I optioned for the $1.97 freight and get the product 8 days sooner. Just checked fedex on line and it should be delivered to my door today. Wahoo , six days quicker than the original estimate and 14 days ahead of ship to store.
