Also picked up a couple of their axis lock 440C knives, a F710, a F7452-CF and a F750. I am going to need to dye that F750 to another color, just do not like Orange, maybe etch the blade too.

I did an acid etching for an inducement for one of my former workers to get through his certification exam, so I do not have it now, or a picture.

I recently gave away model 710 in the Pay-It-Forward thread. It had a great action and solid lock up. It's hard to beat them for the price. Sadly, those budget Chinese knives are starting to surpass some of the "quality" American made blades. I mostly carry Zero Tolerance, Kershaw and Buck USA made knives, but keep a couple decent imports around for when I know I'll have to lend a knife to someone.

I don't know about the other cheap Chinese brands, but I like the Ganzo knives. If you haven't had one of their FH series with D2 bladed knives, I suggest you go find one. I have not paid over $25 for one of them yet. The other Ganzo knives with 440C blades and Axis locks I have yet to pay more than $18 for one. I bought a bunch of these just to play around with dyeing the G10 and acid etching the blades. Gave several away as gifts, they always impress.

As for the other Chinese brands, many of them are commanding higher prices, but truly I haven't seen anything better made than these Ganzo Firebird knives. The only real difference seems, to me, to be the quality of the metal in the blades. I have a Bestec Scimitar and a Ruike Hussar that I really like, but the Ganzo Firebird FH series offer as good, or better, well tempered D2 blades that are as good or better at a much lower price.

Battle of Wanat: 10 years ago last 13 July, 1LT Brostram was killed in combat killing the last enemy combatant in the outpost. The LT went to the point of decision and made the difference that turned the tide of the battle. The original investigation found the Bde Cmdr, the Bn Cmdr and the Co Cmdr at fault for dereliction of duty. If you want to see what a sarcastic silver star citation reads like, pull up the company commander's silver star.

My knife collection consists of my Kershaw that I carry every day and a circa 1860 Navy cutlass. I started researching Bowie knives just to learn more and Amazon bit me or vice versa. I burned up the remainder of my Discover funny money to reduce the net price of this Pakistani produced cutlery.

It arrived pretty fast. It weighs in just a shade under 2 pounds and the fit is good...finish maybe a 7 out of 10. All in all, pretty happy for a sub 30.00 knife.

Does this knife make my gun look small?

Here is the Condor Kephart blank that I made scales for. I've used it several times in the past couple weeks for various tasks and it has performed very well. I have another blank on the way and will be making wood scales for it.

A blank knife blade is a basic knife blade, without scales (grips) and you finish it out. It can be a pre sharpened and shaped blade, or just a cut pattern that has no sharpend geometry.
