A look into the horrors of war

I was reading an article over at The Firearm Blog and stumbled upon a link to a news site with quite an interesting article about a "controversial" bandanna worn by a french soldier while deployed in Mali.

I have not seen combat, or been deployed yet for that matter (hopefully sometime in the near future), but I think it's safe to say that there are far worse things, in war, to be concerned with than what people are using to keep rotor wash out of their face with. And the fact that they are linking it to video games just makes it even better.
I just felt the need to share with some people I felt would really appreciate such a fine read.
"I come in peace. I didn't bring artillery. But I'm pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you f**k with me, I'll kill you all."

To start with I have never been in combat. But I have been in dust storms and rotor wash and if he was in one of those situations, who gives a rats ___ what he was wearing to keep sand out of his mouth and nose.

The real news should be that there was a fairly successful French Military Campaign!

I'm liking your post just for that last sentence. lmao

And honestly, nobody should care. One of America's own SEAL teams uses the Jolly Roger pirate skull as an emblem, and it has been a non-issue.

Not just a game thing. Bikers have been wearing the thing for years. So they are mad he had a skull mask on while deployed to fight those who follow no rules? Interesting.

Personally I kind of like the idea of that being the last thing some of these Al Qaeda butt nuggets see before the lights go out for good.
