    The Five Baddest Soldiers

A good and fast read. I especially like the article because it has two of my favorites - Sgt. York and Audie Murphy.

Some of my father's generation come to mind, too, as well as those guys just a shade older than me who did their time in Vietnam. Bill. Tom. Richard. Jim. Huck. Those were all guys who could break and mend. There's so many.

It was a great read. I was wondering if any of the Snipers from Stalingrad vs Germans would be in the top 5.

I have no doubts I would enjoy reading about the top 100.

I think Custer could have possibly qualified if he hadn't said "Leave the Gattling Guns behind, we don't need em any more than we need a hole in the head!"

Mark Twain once said “In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”

That was enlightening, however they left 2 out IMHO...

Some further reading (written by someone who doesn't have to incorporate locker-room talk to show off his own awesomeness).
Kind of long but there is an index: put it on your "Favorites" list and dip into it when you want a good read.

I have a book which I can't find nor remember the title But it was about all the Medal of Honor winners thru (I think) the Vietnam War. Probably can find it if you do a search on google or Amazon. There were some mighty heroic acts its humbling. The design has changed over time. Google medal of honor look under images. Here's one image.

Would be interesting to know more about other nations heroes.
