New job with NO, Gun policy!

Well I finally landed a new job. The pay cut is tough to swallow and the wife had to return to work but I am soooo very thankful to have found something. IT consulting/Network engenering. The best part is the boss has No gun policy. Carry is your comfortable with it and descreet is the only rule.

Congrats on the new job and the friendly work environment! Here's hoping that your company thrives, makes bundles of money, and will be generous with the people who make it happen.

The gun policy is a good fringe benefit. Congratulations and I hope all goes well.

Here2serve, I am pleased for you, that you landed a new position. But I am somewhat confused.
Your thread begins with No Gun Policy. But after reading it through, I'm taking it for granted that you
mean you're able to carry there, but to do it discretely. Do I have that correctly?

Some guys have all the luck.
My company strictly prohibits carry whether open or CCW. Could be something to do with at any moment we have access to an open safe with upwards of 3 million dollars. I typically carry around $2-5000 worth of IT equipment with me with busy days close to $20,000 worth of gear. The advantage is I can have my 1911 with me in my vehicle.

My boss is of the mind set that banning carry should mean the comany is responcible for your physical security up to the point where you can re-arm.
